How To Freeze Sweet Corn

Ingredients Needed:
* 4-5 Dozen Ears of Sweet Corn
* 1# of Salted Butter
* 1 Pint of Half & Half Cream

Large Roaster
Small Freezer Bags
Knife or Corn Cutter
Oven Mitts


Follow the Steps

  • Heat Oven to 350 degrees
  • Remove all husks and as much corn silk as possible
  • Cut corn off cob until roaster is full
  • Add 4 sticks of unsalted butter
  • Add 1 pint of Half & Half Cream
  • Put in Oven
  • Stir every 15 minutes for one hour
  • Let cool for 2-4 hours
  • Scoop 2 cups of corn into each freezer bag
  • Lay flat on cookies sheets (can be stacked)
  • Place in Freezer until frozen
  • Stack in freezer to store
  • Remove when ready and cook as desired
